School was suspended. Yipee. Well, not SO yipee. Just a... minor yipee (what the heck am I talking about?). But I'm worried about the people who're affected by these rains. I hope no one gets hurt and, if ever, get evacuated safely. *prays*
Just posting a few links of interest.
John Lennon and Paul Simon at the 1975 Grammy Awards - JOHN!!!!!!!!! Omg, he still looks great here and I loved how everyone stood up when he and Paul entered. SO MANY PAUL REFERENCES, I don't know whether to tear up or laugh. There's one in particular near the end that had me spluttering. AKJHSFLJFKH. Foul, Lennon, that was FOUL!
The Beatles, Twist and Shout - One of my favorite Beatle songs. Definitely my favorite John vocal. It's so raw and unpolished and so rock and roll, no matter how poppy the song is. John's cute here too, especially when he grins that little grin. I find it hilarious, though, that everyone on Youtube thinks it's a Beatles original. WRONG-O! It was first recorded by the Isley Brothers, and written by... someone else too. I saw it on Wikipedia, but I've forgotten. But yeah, not theirs.
A diary entry from Pete Townshend, from the WhoWow. This was... wow. This man is so philosophical. No wonder he's a brilliant songwriter. Even when he's writing at 3AM in the morning, it's such real philosophy. He talks about growing older and the beauty of it. I'd recommend reading it to all of you, even if you're no fan of the Who. I especially recommend it to someone I've been talking to lately about feeling old *AHEM*. It's a wonderful read. :) Makes you want to devour his philosophy and just apply it to your own life.

I'm PISSED OFF at the people who nitpick about the Beatles' "Free As A Bird," talking about how much it sucked and all and that Paul and the others should never have touched it. GAH. It's most irritating when they pick on the third verse that Paul filled out (the one that goes "whatever happened to, the life that we once knew"). I LOVE THAT VERSE. It strikes so deeply into the heart of how important the Beatles were, not just to music but to the personal lives of everyone they touched, including each other. GAH. *wants to hit them*
But at the same time, they made me curious. How did Lennon's original sound like? Does anyone have the demo or anything they can upload for me?
And as an aside... did Paul really want to play bass? I heard he did it reluctantly, that he didn't REALLY want to play it.
Who's the tallest Beatle?
LOL, sorry for all the questions. They all just popped into my head.

Last call for all secrets. I'm posting them at around 8PM EST later. :D
